Well it might be a tad late, but I've finally got Lindsay and Mike's wedding at The Mansion at Valley Country Club up on the blog. You may remember these two from their engagement session last winter. These love birds had an amazingly beautiful wedding day; one of the last perfect days of the Fall in fact. They said their vows on the front steps of the Valley Country Club and celebrated the evening away in the beautiful reception hall. It was something else to see with the amazing draperies alongside the warm dark hardwood that covers the walls and floors of this historic wedding venue.
Lindsay and Mike originally met through Mike's younger sister right before Halloween. Years later Mike would propose to Lindsay by carving "Will you marry me?" into a pumpkin. The story goes that Mike had planned a fake pumpkin carving contest with some friends and family to stage the proposal. Lindsay, ever the perfectionist, took longer than anyone else to finish carving her pumpkin while everyone waited for her to notice Mike's proposal.
Lindsay said that her favorite part of her Fall wedding was the first look. She said, "I know that we both were so nervous to see each other and I ended up being way more emotional than I anticipated!" You can find a few photos of their first look below. These two are headed to Aruba in December for their honeymoon. Whether its the sun or their love, I have no doubt they will be warm as the holiday season rolls around.
Cheers
